I believe emotions are valid as long as they arent sooo strong they can be dangerous or forced so it feels fake.

Depends on the definition of "Strong Emotions" to me. When one genuinely feels strong about something good or bad, I believe it's healthy. When one merely just dials their emotional state up to 11 for the sole purpose of drawing as much attention as one wants, then I know it's nothing more than dramatic acting.

@CIEIRMusic Ok. Here is deeper context. Imagine if someone made a joke about, lets say rape. A rape survivor would feel genuinely mad. This is fine. What is too much is if someone who actually loved the joke rants crazily and angry for fun.

In that case I suggest you do not look up George Carlin. Because he got famous for being one of those guys. He's a stand-up comedian and master of dirty humour, the man once went on a rant that depending context on whether it's still ok to make rape jokes.

For example, just to name one. He read a story about an old lady who got her house broken into and the burglar proceeded to rape her before robbing her. Now that alone would sound like what it is. A terrible tragedy that should be no laughing matter.

How George made it funny was once after hearing about the rape part all he could say was "WHY!? What the fuck kind of social life does this guy have?" It makes the joke funny, not because it's at the expense of the person being raped, but because it's at the expense of the rapist. He's basically calling the rapist a sad, degenerate nobody who couldn't even get women his age, so he had to resort to that.

@CIEIRMusic I am not a rape survivor, and I do find rape jokes somewhat funny. However, it depends on how its done. Another example is 9/11-related humor. As a survivor’s niece I take strong offense on any humor that glamorizes the incident or makes fun of victims/survivors. However, one of my favorite Newgrounds media is Osama-related Assassin stuff.

For some reason this comment showed up 5 times, so I deleted the other 4. Don't know how that happened.

Anywho, with me. The only time I find rape at the expense of a victim funny, is if they deserve it. By that I mean someone who did something so horrible or happens to be a rapist themselves, that literally the only way to balance things out is if someone or something rapes them. Like for example, Pedophiles and Rapists would get a laugh at me if they got raped, because it's the punishment fitting the crime. Another example being those who get it from the very thing they were trying to destroy. Case in point Ace Ventura When Nature Calls. In that movie, they are heading for a village they have to save and come across a brush where the Silverback Gorilla is hiding. Ace's guide warns him that it's mating season and they tend to get very aggressive. It turns out the guy that hired Ace, was trying to exploit the natives' guano mine so he could get in on the fertilizer business. Which would have not only destroyed the village, but also the surrounding areas, including where the Silver back lives. Let's just say that guy not only lost, but Karma came after him in the form of a lusty gorilla.
