I agree that's good news, but I doubt it would be that simple...

Maybe not, but it's a start. The entire world minus those sympathetic to Putin, was already sick of his shit. The only problem is that there was no legal opportunity to do something about it so far, because at the time there wasn't enough proof at least in their eyes that what Putin did was a war crime. Then Roger Waters came out a few months ago, despite his claim that Russia was provoked, even he couldn't deny that what Putin did is illegal.
There's a saying. "Revenge is a dish best served cold." Well it's very cold in Russia and it took a long time to get this far. The only hard part is actually trying to apprehend him, but even then it's shown that his own soldiers were sick of him and may have contemplated a Coup anyway.
Putin isn't just fucked, he's fucked 8 ways from Sunday.
