After watching Squid Game. One thing I liked was that they used Childhood games as their motif. Be it universal games like Tug of War and Red Light Green Light. As well as games more specific to South Korea, like Honeycomb and the titular Squid Game. So I got to thinking why not add some ideas based on other kids games.
In my case, Canadians play universal games like Red Rover and all forms of Tag and Hide and Seek. As well as Canadian specific games like peach basket Basketball and Doughnut Chew.
Let me know what games you think would make good Squid Games. Be it something universal or something specific to your own country.

I had this idea of something like Squid Game having a crazy and even more violent version of American football. (the U.S one)

Football would work because like tug of war, it's teams against teams. The trick would be how to make it more violent than it usually is as well as what would count as an elimination. The downside is that in order for it to be a squid game, it like the others has to be done in a limited time frame. Football has 4 periods. So naturally Squid Football or The Squid Bowl, would be reduced to one period. Since tackling in normal foootball runs the risk of a lot of injuries naturally Squid Football would eliminate anyone too injured to play. The only thing missing would be what would motvate the players to play properly as per their equality rule. Such as say the football itself having a bomb rigged to go off if it doesn't reach touchdown in time.
