Ubbi Dubbi

Posted by CIEIRMusic - December 14th, 2021

Ever heard of a language called "Ubbi Dubbi" it started out as a fictional language in a kid show called Zoom.

I first heard the language on The Big Bang Theory. The idea being that it's English Words, with a lot of B sounds in them. For example:

Ubi wubent tubo thube stuborube ubonube dubay. Thubey wuberube uboubut ubof mubilk.

Which means: I went to the store one day. They were out of milk.

You all should have fun with that.

I used to talk in that language when I was ten. memories!

Didn't Mushmouth from Fat Albert use it as a language too?

@CIEIRMusic I don't know I just read about it in a book

Ah. I first heard about it in Big Bang Theory. The Actress who played Amy starred in a lot of kid shows before that, so when she mentioned Ubbi Dubbi I assumed it was based on one she was in or one she watched. I looked it up and there was this Kid show, Zoom. Two versions were made. One in the 70s and one in the 2000s. Both of them featuring Ubbi Dubbi. Then I remembered reading something about MushMouth using Ubbi Dubbi to talk. In the show Amy and Penny were speaking it to talk about their lie without Leonard and Sheldon knowing. They suspected the lie and started speaking Klingon. A language from Star Trek.
