Personal News: Dogsitting

Posted by CIEIRMusic - September 20th, 2022

Recent events in my personal life, have caused me a few things. Some in my favour. I managed to get some new furniture for my place, which is a stepping stone to being a studio. Now, I have been tasked by relatives of mine, to look after their dog. They paid me very well with offers for more things, it gives me something to do while I think of new ideas for my music and audios and I have experience in pet care so I'd not only be qualified for it, but I would know how to change some dogs behavior. Now, I'm no Caesar Millan, but I have had experience with some pets in the past. As a kid I grew up literally around a family of sheppards, they saw me less as a human and more like one of their pups. I also had a cat with me. As a kid it's easy, if the pets are well tempered, then they can literally talk to children. The patriarch of that dog family used to "Walk" me by holding my hand with his mouth. His way of holding hands. When it came to my teenage years I've mostly looked after cats, but often dog sit a couple of times. Dogs liked me back then. One bad experience with a Rottweiler later, I end up fearing them. Breaking my heart. I've worked to overcome that fear, but because of it I never raised a dog since so I'm a little rusty. The dog is a Husky. It's 10 years old in Human years making him 70 so he's practically an old man. He's big suck for attention, whines cries and even paws at you if you're not petting him. When you walk him, you'd have to keep him on a short leash or he'll drag you or bolt. I've looked after that dog for a while at their place and so far I've been able to get him to listen to me and I'm trying to get him used to people so he can ignore them when I take him for walks. He's skittish around other dogs. Sometimes want's to play with them, other times fight. Very talkative as befitting of a husky. I keep joking about whether or not we should get a sled for him. Anywho, they themselves found a new place, but they needed to keep him out of the way until they moved there. They paid me very well, they bring the dog food when needed. All I have to do is feed him and walk him. He does get along with me, but sometimes he defies his owners. And sometimes when I take a J break I get into a conversation with him. As someone who's known domestic animals over time, I've known dogs to be very talkative wanting their owners to understand them. He's an old dog, but he acts like such a big puppy sometimes. Anywho, wish me luck and hope this doesn't turn out to be a rip off of Beethoven, where hilarious disasters revolve around dogs.

Also stay tuned for more audio stuff.

Harmony: The creator's got a dog? So cute.

Light: Eh, it's gonna annoy the hell out of him.

S.T.: I'm mostly a cat person, but I think he'd be able to pull it off.

Light: You're just saying that because your his Persona.

S.T.: Yep and proud of it too. That said, he could use the interaction.

Aww. So cute.

Oh ya. He's basically an overgrown puppy.

@CIEIRMusic How would LH feel if they saw “the creator”?

They'd be honoured, concerned and resentful.
