First step of my Studio complete.

Posted by CIEIRMusic - April 4th, 2023

As most of you know since I've moved to a new place last Summer, I made a vow that I was gonna turn some of it into a studio. This took some doing.

Now because my main focus was voice acting and maybe doing some actual vocals for my music, I already had nearly everything I needed. Everything except a soundproof booth.

I live an apartment so naturally I can't emote or do anything louder without disturbing my neighbors, but I couldn't just nail some sound proof foam on the walls either so I took to net shopping for an answer and I found one. Room dividers.

Basically they are portable walls most people buy to turn their rooms into office cubicles. I ordered one so far just to see if it could work in my space and just today I finished building it:

The wall I ordered was from Ebay and much bigger than I anticipated but perfect for what I need. I figure 2 or three more would do to completely box in my computer and recording area. Then all I'd have to do is put sound proof material on them.

It also doubles as my scream box if I ever need to vent out my rage.

So if you're like me and want to make a studio that conveniences you as well as your surrounding environment, look no further than this.
