A follow up to this.

First of all I want to apologize if my last post came across as fearmongering or even just plain stupid. Take it with a grain of salt regardless and I'll tell you why.

For starters, when I wrote that post it happened while I was still trying to process what could have happened to me. That being said, it's not untrue. There are other factors, but at the same time let me give you a perspective of why I think what I said was necessary.

I was born in the 90s and somehow still kicking in 2025. How I don't know, what I do know is that at the very least throughout a huge chunk of my life, it was spent in front of a screen one way or another. TV, Video Games, Computers, Phones. Anything with a screen. Now as I grew up worst case I got was strained eyes and maybe a splitting headache or two. Which back then and before and after was lucky compared to what some other people went through kid and adult alike. Such as that infamous Pokemon Seizure moment. So the idea that screens can harm a person and even lead to one's death, is a valid one at least to me. But here's the thing. Much like every other exposure in life, from too many of the same junk food to, drug and booze addiction and even various exposes to diseases, they are deadly depending on usage of them. Either by themselves or risking pre-existing conditions. In my case, screens have not once made me feel like I was motion sick, until that moment.

Now it would have been a lot easier to say this, but I also wanted to do a double point. See, it'd be extremely fucking hypocritical of me to use a screen as a means of saying use less screen time, but weirdly enough it does make a point apt. Allow me to explain:

I present to you a relic of TV past. The North American House Hippo. This was a public service announcement on what to believe and what not to believe in what you seen on TV. This became so well known and popular they even made a sequel just 5 years ago:

But both have the same aesop. Think about what you're watching or reading on these screens then ask questions. Kinda like you guys just did.

Now if I were to do a self-reflection on my article typing, I would say it's a balance between truth and dramatic. Everything I write is the truth in my perspective, but it comes across in such a dramatic and exaggerated way that no one would believe it initially unless they really got to know me. But the reason why it often puts some people on the fence is how much I believe in what I say or write.

Long story short, in terms of testing the waters on the knowledge of whether or not prolonged screened exposure was a thing, I was able to uncover a second problem with screens, which is more mental sense.

There are times when even Genuine News Articles are often in the same dilemma. What to believe and not to believe based on how the article is written.

But what is the actual solution to this? Well I basically said it in my last article. I never said "No more screens." I said "Less Screens." To me, less means, use in moderation. Use only when need to and not use too much. What it means to you, is up to you.

Take care, stay safe and stay tuned for more.
