This one's pretty upbeat.

PIZZADAWG responds:

thanks ^_^ i think so as well

Not bad for your first one. Has a bit of a an actionized feel to it.

PIZZADAWG responds:

Thanks Dawg, it started off as me just playing around.

This was very dreadful and scary on the surface, but what really sticks out is that it is full of atmosphere. Also the end of it sounds similar to the death of the first Terminator.

LD-W responds:

The first half of the track was definitely the funnest part to do the design work for! While I don't have any water microphones to sample my own underwater recordings of (very expensive!), I did do some texture layering from existing samples and then designed up some background-console/tech to make the scene almost feel like a futuristic spaceship/submarine combo trying to explore the depths of a watery exoplanet.

Thanks for checking it out!

Great loop. Very catchy.

PIZZADAWG responds:

thanks mate i haven't made anything in a while. it felt good to make them 2 tracks today.

I rarely hear a song that can be both chill and active. This is one of those songs.

EVLanche responds:

Glad to be one of few :D I love how this track turned out, though I'm not sure if it's technically Ambient Jungle or just Liquid Drum N Bass ^^;

I feel so bad for anyone trick or treating near your house. If they heard this song in some haunted house garage theme, this would scare the hell out of a lot of kids. Some adults too.

LD-W responds:

Unfortunately I did screw up with some of my percussion choices in this track, some of them lacked the low end presence to be used in the rhythmic patterns that I hoped and I ran out of time to swap them all out. Maybe at some point I'll revisit it and sort it all out again properly haha

Thanks for checking it out!

Is it weird that this song reminds me of the first episode of the revived Doctor Who? I can imagine Christopher Eccleston running with this.

Demonicity responds:

lmao

I was originally gonna review your remake, but I wanted to hear your original version first. For your first song ever, this is pretty good. Simple, yet moving.

supermelon-creations responds:

Ah thxx, I dont know why, even though this is one of my first songs, I still think it's one of the better ones, but that moght also be nostalgia at this point because I made this really long ago and lost the file, but than realised I uploaded it to newgrounds, and then I couldnt download it because I wasnt scouted for like 3 years, but now I can finally download it again yay :D

Not bad. I could see why this got at least second place.
Maybe it's just me, but you seem to have channelled Cronenberg-Era Howard Shore.

LD-W responds:

Ahh now that you've mentioned Shore, I can definitely see some resemblance in some areas!

The bulk majority of the unusual articulations I've pulled straight from the 8DIO CASE Bundle, there's enough on there to pretty much anything I'd almost ever want to do for a horror orchestration. Maybe at some point in the future, doing a combined orch + distorted synth piece like what Shore done in Scanners (like Vale Captured) would be fun to do

Thanks for checking the track out!

Repetitive song structure? I never noticed. Lol. I kinda did, but I didn't want to say anything. That said it doesn't stop your music from being good. Sometimes repetition and consistency is the key to not just art, but all life.

EODTC responds:

Thanks man
