She's a plant based specimen, but in return, her feet keep her rooted to the ground hence she has to rip them off whenever she's performing her duties in the hollowed gardens.

It's a beautiful picture, but there's something not quite right. I'm sure it was just a mistake but the ribbons behind some gingerbread people make it look like they are being hung.

This is an illustration to a children's song and the gingerbread people are hanging in the window of the town's pasty cook.
I guess you mean it looks like they are hung, as in executed, and that was of course not my intention to give that impression. I have to think on how to clarify that that is not the case in the illustration.
