To the kids: Trick Or Treat in Groups, avoid shady people, have your parents check your candy before you dig in. Other than that, have fun.

To the adults: Get drunk, get high, have fun and make sure you get home safe.

To the Wiccans out there, the Witching Hour is at Midnight.

To the horror fans out there, watch some scary shit.

To my friends and fans here at newgrounds have a Happy, hopefully candy filled Halloween.

I think "Ok Boomer" should be changed to "Ok Booger". Sounds more funnier.

This one is a bit cynical at first, but that said it's not all the way bad. Like my previous article on the subject this is only focused on one topic.

In this case, this is my view on people in general. The Human Race. What I think both it's ups and downs. This one will be divided in certain topics, but I will start off with my view of them as a whole.

To quote Agent K of Men in Black, "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky and dangerous animals and you know it." Which basically sums up my own mindset on people. When you get right down to it, we are walking contradictions. Trying to stand up for the group, but praising or gawking the individual depending on who they are and what they've done. Just nearly 3 years ago, when Covid Panic was on an all time high, we seen this quote come into play. Someone was convinced that Toilet paper of all things was the key to surviving a pandemic, as a result a major shortage. Just recently in my own country, due to a flu panic, every cough, cold and flu medicine has been stripped clean off the shelves. All because they think survival means getting it before everyone else does. However let's break things down.

Intelligence

From person to person it varies. Some can be smart, others stupid. Just to simplify it. However when a group unites under a common goal, despite how good their intentions may be, they often end up just as selfish, irresponsible and foolish and do more harm than good. This mentality existed way before the Europeans invaded North America, because as far as Europe was concerned, Earth is the Centre of the Universe and is flat. To think hundreds, maybe thousands of years of atrocities could have been avoided all because a bunch of idiots wanted to prove how smart they are. Yet when an individual says otherwise, they get burned at the stake figuratively and sometimes even literally. Other times, the problem with the world is that we as a group rely too much on one individual to show the way. Part of why Galileo didn't get the respect he deserved was because as far as the so called intellectual world was concerned, only Aristotle's word reigned true, despite others proving him wrong in the later generations. Yet once proven wrong what does the group do? Act like they are the first to come up with it, before eventually relenting and apologizing to the individuals they ridiculed long after they've been dead.

Morality

Much like intelligence, morality also varies from person to person. Each and every person has what they consider their moral centre. Some of which differs more than others. Myself for example, my morality is calling it like I see it. I see someone acting like a creep, I call them a creep. Others however both individual and group have such skewed ideas of what is moral or not, which could be attributed to the following things:

  1. Cultural differences. To put it simpler, sex and consent. To the western world, any type of sexual relationships under 18, is considered immoral, whereas in the East, because the age of consent is different, so is the mentality and morality over it. Someone in America would be disgusted by someone in Japan, whereas the Japanese individual would genuinely be confused to why they are disgusted in the first place.
  2. Environmental Influence. Most of the time, even within the bounds of the law, we all gain our moralities from outside influences. Whether it's friends and family, a favourite celeb or even the media we consume. In terms of the former, it's because we trust these people to guide and protect us from the horrors this world has to offer so needless to say, even if what they say is 100% bullshit, we are obligated to stand up for them because we love and trust them that much. In terms of both latter's we admire the person and content they offer and often try to model our lives after the examples set for us in these mediums.
  3. Experience. Whether it's positive or negative, we develop our moralities based on the experiences we had. Some people take things too far in the negative and blame certain groups for the shit individuals did to them in the past. For example, a white person gets robbed by a person who happens to be black. Does that person call the police? No. Instead they decide to dedicate their lives in destroying the group demographic, based on the incident of one person. Which in turn causes said demographic to label all white people as bad as that person. It's an endless cycle that should have been broken centuries ago. Even positive experience doesn't help matters because for all you know the person or demographic they came from that helped you in the past could most likely be a Nazi.

Teamwork

This one is a tough one. Sometimes people can come together based off a certain goal, but often or not, many people end up screwing up said team and said goal based on the following factor. Humans individually, myself included are vain. Each and every one of us believes us to be the protagonist of our own stories and ergo believes we should lead the team rather than follow someone else, even if said person has the right idea. In-fighting breaks out and they end up back to square one. Ready to fuck things up again. If people could at the very least, put their vanity and ego aside and work together using common ground, then the world would be a better place. Part of the reason why the world is so depressing is because so many people are looking for more excuses to divide the human race, rather than unite them. Literally the only time we may cut the bullshit is if some alien race were to show up threatening us.

Consequence

In conclusion though, whether we stand together or stay apart, regardless of how reclusive we can be with them, our actions have world consequences. Even the smallest thing could cause disaster halfway around the world. However much of the reason why not a single one of us fixes it, is because of the following factors.

  1. As individuals, but also even as group, we refuse to take responsibility for our part in wrecking the world. Be it through War or affecting the environment. Ergo, we don't see it as our problem and leave it to someone else.
  2. We also have a tendency to blame others. Simply because we are too self-centred to realize maybe we are to blame. Trump does something, we blame him rather than the idiots that voted for him. Putin invades Ukraine, we blame him rather than blame ourselves or our countries for buddying with him before he pulled his shit.

Differences and Similarities

The biggest thing that has been the result of many conflicts is that the world has trouble either focusing on what makes us different from each other rather than what makes us similar. For that we're partially to blame too due to the hypocrisy of it. Certain races, orientations, gender identities and so on, want to be treated as equals, but at the same time don't want to lose their individual differences as the result because it makes them feel special to be different. Well I have news for everyone. Regardless of our skin colour, country, religion, orientation and gender identities among most things, we're really not all that different from each other. We all came to this world, thinking our way is the only way. We all clash with each other over it. To top it off, we all want to be heard. The only differences between us are not even important in comparison to the goal we all share. Either accept that, or remain in the cycle until you die.

Mob Mentality

This is the biggest problem ever. Whether it's something minor blown out of proportion or something major, but has little to do with some people, Mob Mentality is the ruin of us all. The second we hear something we don't like, we immediately jump on the bandwagon, judge and condemn before we even remotely hear the other side of the story. We simply take the words of strangers whom should have no impact on how we should think and feel. The key word Think and Feel. If one were to take a moment to stop and think, then maybe there would not need to be a mob formed every time. To top it off half the mob doesn't even care what happened, they just want to be in the spotlight and make it more about them. These people could care less about a murder or rape victim, as long as they themselves talk about how they feel in the event. Shows like South Park and just recently the Halloween Trilogy, showed the consequences of bullshit like that.

Over all, it's neither individual nor group that is solely responsible. It's both. If we could just get our heads out of our own asses, own up to that, we can work better together.

This one is a little more tongue-in-cheek than my last one:

https://cieirmusic.newgrounds.com/news/post/1311074

As it is more focused on one topic, but my opinions remain the same in no exaggeration. In this case Social Media. Now when this stuff first came out, depending on the platform, it either gave me excitement or a crippling headache. Excitement due to the many merits of it and there are some. While at the same time there are a boat load of faults. Here's my take on them, not just from personal experience, but from what I've witnessed others doing in my life. Now I'm not gonna cover them all because God knows, there are and still will be new ones popping up, but I am gonna cover the more well known ones:

Youtube

In it's heyday it was one of the most brilliant pieces of social media platforms on the planet. Just people coming together making videos for the hell of it or in some cases showing clips of their favourite medias. Some of which even gave rise to stars like James "The Angry Video Game Nerd" Rolfe. However, due to piracy law on the latter and a huge complaint on the safety of the users on the former things changed for the worse. Nowadays it's a bland stale floor of what it used to be with plenty of Eggshells to walk on. And that's not even getting started on the greed of both user and staff alike. While my views on the platform vary, I disagree with COPPA. If you want kids to watch youtube, then let them Watch Youtube Kids. Much like TV, kids shouldn't even be watching adult programming or engaging in adult conversations with adults online. Which should also apply to many sites including this one. One of the things that really piss me off about that is that due to the anonymity of these places, you never know you're arguing with a kid until they tell you and even then it's often hard to take that at face value.

Facebook

I first heard of Facebook around the same time as I heard of Youtube. In Highschool back when it was fresh and new. Teachers hated it and would even go so far as send kids to the office for using it on School computers. I never understood why until some of my friends and family started getting their own Facebook accounts. Literally with the selection of a select few, every one I ever knew has at least one Facebook Personal Account. I hated every moment of it and I'll tell you why. It was like their eyes were glued to the screens. Be it on their computers or recently their phones.

As if they turned into Zombies interested in human drama. As if things can possibly get any worse, The Social Network hits theaters, making Facebook more popular than ever before and all of it because some creep wanted to stalk his girlfriend. When I first heard the name Mark Zuckerberg in the movie my thoughts were "Great, if I have a time machine I'll at least know who to kill before they make that." And that is not even getting started on the scandal that happened years back.

Whenever someone asks me "How come you never get a Facebook account?" I say to them the same three answers:

  1. It's turning people into Zombies.
  2. I don't want my personal information to be sold to the fucking CIA or Terrorist orginizations.
  3. The most mundane one compared to the other two, because it's so easy to find people on Facebook, friend, foe and family alike, I fear running into someone I pissed off in Grade School.

Facebook is one of the worst platforms to ever exist.

Twitter:

Great for advertising and trying to talk to celebrities, but shit for everything else. The second you get sucked into any drama situation you'll either fight to you're suspended or delete your account before it messes with your life. And that is not even remotely beginning to cover all the disgusting individuals such as the MAPs and NO MAPs I ran into there. You think me defending Jes is evil, try arguing with a bunch of pedophiles that honestly don't think that having sex with children is wrong. Or Shota and Lolicons that think that just because it's fictional it should be ok to Jerk off to. Then just when you're in the heat of it, you're the one getting suspended for "Harassing" them. The only benefit that site gave me was that it gave me my first paying fan at the time as well as the banner and logo I use.

Tumblr:

Personally I think this place gets a bad rep unjustly. Don't get me wrong I understand why as it was one of the breeding grounds for the Social Justice Warrior movement among most things, but it's more harder to get sucked into drama there, when you're only using it as an advertising ground.

TikTok

Now I've only heard some things about this site, but from what I gather there are multiple reasons to both like and hate it. On the like side of things, it allows people to express themselves in short videos. I even once watched a TikTok on a girl who was very good at identifying psychological triggers and how they work. However on the bad side of things addiction, certain disgusting content that shouldn't be shown, racial bias, misinformation and ironically censorship among most things.

Instagram

Good for advertising, but I honestly think that it shouldn't be a mobile only Social Media.

Snapchat

Fun, but unless they have fresh and new ideas, the novelty wears off right away.

However while there are praises and merits of these ones. However surprisingly they and every other social media are not at fault for the biggest problem they have been accused of causing. Mainly just guilty for enabling them. Much like the internet it stands on, Social Media, when you get down to it, was meant to unite the world for the better. 2 Decades ago I wouldn't even dream of talking to people all over the world as I would at home, due to how impossible that seems. Nowadays I am talking to people be it friends, foes or fans alike from all parts of the world as though they are in the living room with me. That's an amazment I give credit for. However there lies in the problem. Before, not many people had a means to express their voice and views all over the worlds, because computers were so few and between and Cellphones haven't had internet access yet. Nowadays, thanks to social media and the tools we use to access it, rather than unite the world for the better, we instead are the net equivalent to all being pushed into a crowded room and fighting each other for the last pocket of air. Twitter alone sickened me on how many disgusting people were put in with others who aren't even remotely bad.

I know people have asked this question before for many reasons just or not, but I honestly should ask this. What in the flying fuck is this world coming to?

For many people it's hard to just let whatever shit they argue about on Social Media go and just look on the outside world for what it is, because everyone is so focused on who's right and wrong that nothing else seemed to matter on this.

I should know, I was one of those people.

Anyone reading this on a phone, shut it off now and take one long look at the world while you still can. Because if you're not gonna go blind from constantly staring at a screen, the world itself as you know it would be gone and you'll wonder where it went. All because you decided to argue with someone on pointless bullshit.

I figured for this one I should give people an article of what my views are. More or less because a lot of people regardless of how good their work is or how bad their work is are often judged more on what they think rather than what they do. Which I think is 100 percent bullshit and I'll use myself as an example. For this I'm only gonna list the majors as well as a few hot button issues that have been talked about for over a century.

Poiltical Views

In terms of Politics I qualify more as a centrist than most things. Which a lot of people consider at best lazy or at worst catering to the worst parts of the political spectrum. However I would like to reiterate on this one.

In terms of my political views, I believe that with the exception of Nazism and Cold War era Communism, that each and every political party in one country or another has both their merits and their faults. The Democrats for example have John F. Kennedy as the prime example of a Good democrat, while Lyndon Johnson who succeeded him, is the prime example of a bad democrat, due to him saying yes to 'Nam. Whereas Republicans for example. They have a bad rep because there have been a lot of bad people that earned said reputation. However if you want a good example of a Good Republican. Look no further than the statue of a giant man on a chair in Washington. Honest Abraham Lincoln. Any one else in his position would have had no problem with slavery in the south being legal, he instead risked his career and eventually his life to put an end to it and as a result of the latter some people from both parties try to follow his example. The key word try.

My stance on it is plain and simple. "You're all fucking nuts, but if you worked together and hashed out what sucks about each other, then a lot of problems would be solved."

Religious Views

In terms of my own personal religion, I'm Pagan. Specifically Wiccan derived from worship of the Greek and Roman Gods and Goddesses, with a bit of Gaelic, Celtic and Native in there.

However, I do believe in the right to express one's religious views so long as no one is physically getting hurt by it. You could be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu or many others, but as long as you got a good heart and keep your nose clean from trouble, then you're alright in my book. It shouldn't matter who is right or wrong. There shouldn't just be one big religion that dominates all. People should be free to do it. That being said, there is a catch to this. If your sect of the relgion happens to directly be involved with or sympathetic to the cause of extremists. Whether it's KKK for the Christians or Taliban for the Muslims, then I will not give you the time of day. Especially if said people try to sweep past atrocities under the rug.

My relgion has past atrocities too, many of which are enough to make even the most tolerant of religion sympathizers puke their guts out. I know that, I accept it, I own up to it and I move on. Why? Because with the exception of a few puritans out there, we have since evolved from those atrocities and found better ways of worship that don't even involve the taking of a life. If we can evolve so can the other religions.

Racial Views

In my overall stance, it may sound cliche, but it stands to say it. When it comes to the topics above and this one, I love and hate everybody equally. I would try my hardest to do my part to help make this world a diverse place, but at the same time, would have no problem calling out those who advocate the same for their bullshit and hypocrisy, should I suspect anything shady and if said groups call me racist, well the feeling's mutual.

Sex Views

In terms of sexual orientation, so long as Bestiality, Necrophilia and especially Paedophilia is not one of them, you all can do whatever the fuck you want so long as it's legally consensual. That's my stance on it. Any assholes on there that try to lump those three Categories with groups like LGBTQ, both those against it and those for it, can go straight to Hell.

In terms of Gender Identity. So long as you can prove what you identify as regardless if you were biologically born with it or not, you're ok in my book. If you're one of those assholes just abusing the system for your own benefits, then you're scum because you're not only hurting the people you intend to hurt, but also the people that otherwise would have welcomed you with open arms and vowed to protect you. Mainly because those dumbasses that follow everything bigots say would lump some innocent transgender person in with the same category as say some rapist who decided to dress in drag so he could rape a woman in the Girl's washroom.

In terms of actual sex. I believe in sex for love and sex for fun, so long as like I said before, it's legally consensual. However on top of that, I honestly really hope those that do it don't fuck things up like giving each other an STD or an unwanted pregnancy. Other than that go nuts.

War

This was a tough one, but I am neither pro-war or anti-war. I am pro-necessary war. Some Anti-War demonstrators can never differentiate between wars. To them all wars are the same because soldier and civilian alike get wounded or killed in the crossfire. Fair enough. However I myself know the difference between when war is necessary and when it's not. Surprisingly some agree that World War II was a big example of Necessary War, because the Allies were working together to stop a great Evil. Whilst wars like Vietnam and The War on Iraq were grossly unnecessary.

World Aid

This one is also a tough one. While I do believe people should help each other more often, those that do at the expense of their own countries, fail to realize the consequences about it. As much as I boast about Canada's multi-culturalism, there's a huge darkside to it. Years ago when Pierre Trudeau did his policy on immigration, in the 80s he fucked up royally. Granted his intentions were good and it gave him good PR, but he didn't forsee the consequences. Consequences that still happen to this day, but none so worse than the 1983 - 2009. Does that timeline sound familiar? That was the time period of the Sri Lankan Civil War. Now whenever a war breaks out, it's natural for those who don't want to get involved in it to flee the country until at the very least it blows over. This was no exception. However what Trudeau failed to realize at the time was that when it comes to a Civil War, the last place you want both sides of it, soldier and civilian alike to be in the same room together. What does that fucker do? He not only pushes them in the same room together, but in terms of emergency housing, puts both sides of the fucking war in the same housing buildings together. If they weren't trying to kill each other, they'd assault, maim and even murder anyone dumb enough caught in the crossfire. I used to live near one of those buildings when it happens. If I didn't see it myself, my family and Neighbors would be seeing it. What Trudeau should have done, was screen them for any affiliations then just move the warring sides as far away from each other as possible.

Long story short, you want to help people, help them, but don't fuck everyone else up around you to do it. And that's just aiding through war. In terms of the other major woes like famine and disease, by all means help, but don't bankrupt yourself or if you're a world leader, your country in order to do it, because by the time they get back to their feet, you're the one that ends up with the third world country.

Economics

In terms of economics, my main stance is this. Not one of us should pay to live. When it comes to food, shelter, personal hygiene and comfort, you're condemning those who can't afford to do at least one of those things, to die. The basic living should not be a privilege. It should be a right. However because someone convinced us we need big numbers on small pieces of paper and plastic to get those things, we basically condemned the entire world for the worse. The way I see it. Living should be free, but if want luxuries that's when you should work for it.

Class

In terms of class I don't judge the class, I judge the person of that class. You could be a multi-trillionaire or so poor that you can't even pay attention for all I care, but if you're a nice person, you're ok. Yet some people seem more inclined to blame the entire class for what some people do and it's on all sides. The bad apples in the Upper Classes view anyone below them as a burden on their life, yet the only reason why they don't have them exterminated is because they depend on them for the things they need. Yet the middle to working to low class, both good and bad seem inclined to blame all High Class people for their problems. Even going so far as blasting fictional characters, like Superheroes, simply because they are rich. That 99 vs 1 percent rally being the biggest fucking joke of an example. Myself I grew up in a working class family, yet I never looked my nose down on anyone that have it better than me, unless they looked their nose down at me first. Much like politics I think the whole world would be a much better place if they just worked together rather than try to oust one and other.

Abortion

Ya I'm going there. First and foremost, in terms of my own personal stance on the matter, I am what is considered impossible for both sides. Pro-Life and Pro-Choice. To put it simple I'm morally against abortion, but legally I respect the rights of someone who needs one. For any reason be it stem cell research or an unwanted pregnancy through rape or reproductive abuse. But to expand on it a little let's take a look at the main argument.

On the Pro-Life side of things, their main argument is "It's a life." on the Pro-Choice side of things "It's a mass of cells." Now much of the reason why Pro-Lifers lose the argument is because they only delve in the moral and religious implications of the act of an abortion. They dismiss anything scientific because they feel it makes them look like hypocrites. However if they did get into the scientific aspects of it, they'd have more room to hold their own in an argument.

With me. "It's a life." or "It's a mass of cells." Both. It's a Mass of Living Cells. Even if it's not a full life, it's still a life or more specifically a community of life with the egg and sperm being the founding members of said community. Starting off with one sperm and one egg, that's the founders, combining themselves into one world leader. The first cell or Zygote. By the time the baby is newborn they have 26 billion cells. If each and every one of those cells were the size of a human being and put on earth, you'd have a hell of a population problem. For all we know, we couldn't even be people ourselves, just living cells on something else's skin. Point being though is prior to becoming a host for a bigger organism, those cells have a life and possible consciousness on their own and it's still killing them.

However that being said, I do not infringe on the rights of it. I understand if due to certain circumstances or even your own view points, that there are multiple reasons to have an abortion. Such as an unwanted pregnancy from a rape victim or an unexpected mother, as well as simply furthering the process of Stem-Cell Research. Hell if I knew the nearest clinic I'd send anyone looking for one there. That's my stance on the whole thing. Take it or leave it.

Environmentalism

I believe Global Warming is real, but that's the extent of it on that one.

In terms of the ethics of meat eating, I'm a meat eater, both by preference and by mentality, as an autistic kid growing up I was a severely picky eater and even then I wouldn't eat some meats. Mainly because it was one of the few things in my life I can control. However over the years I've learned to enjoy it at the very least for my own individual survival. I feel bad that another animal has to die to feed me, but at the same time it wouldn't stop me from eating a burger, but that doesn't mean I don't care. I've looked up many alternatives surprisingly much of them don't really appeal to me. An impossible burger for example, would look, taste and smell like a burger, but I wouldn't eat that, because it's just switching the problem from meat to plant. It's the same greasy crap in a box just from a plant instead of a cow. Anyone that says it's healthier is as big a douchebag as those hipsters who promote vaping over smoking. You're still consuming nicotine and dangerous chemicals they're just not on fire. In fact there is already a better solution. Mosa Meat. That's real meat, but made without killing or even severely harming any animal. Look it up.

Same with the ethics of wearing animals for clothes. Fur, Leather, you name it. While I sympathize with those against animal cruelty the substitutes for certain things like fur do little to almost nothing to keep some people warm in the winter. As for those who wear it to express their social status. Fuck you on both accounts. On one hand how many minks had to die before you go your perfect coat Cruella? On the otherhand all that fur you use to flaunt your status would be more useful as a blanket for a homeless person. Considering you wear that shit in the summer and a winter. But that said, it's one's right to do so regardless of what I think. If only there was a solution where you can wear quality clothes without the guilt of killing an animal. Oh wait there is. Qorium. The same guy that founded Mosa Meats, used the same tech he used to cultivate his Burgers to make leather. Using skin cells instead of muscle cells. Now if it's so easy to make Leather out of this, then fur is next step.

As for the overall environment. In my expert opinion we shouldn't pay for the mistakes generations before us made in terms of my morality on the subject. Especially considering that for the past century we had the tech that would have reversed damages for that long. Just last year a Battery Factory was made in Ontario in an effort to lower Carbon Monoxide in cars. They treated it as if it was this new thing, when in fact that battery, which could have not only been used for cars, but could have helped power houses and other forms of places that require electricity has literally been around for as long as there ever been batteries. Had they implimented then, there'd been nothing to complain about on that alone. I get more shit over the whole NFT thing than these people whom have done centuries of damage to the environment. Does that even make a lick of sense? This being a big example about it.

In terms of reversing the damage faster, I honestly believe it's possible, but no one found a way yet and should I have enough money for one of the goals I mentioned before, even if it was through NFTs, I would spend every dollar I earned from it at least trying to prove that right. People can talk all they want about people damaging the environment for money, but no one ever wonders how some people would even spend said money.

That's just a fraction of my views. I could go on, but at this point I'd probably need more articles for that. Point being is that unless I directly apply it to my art. My stuff does not reflect on my views. I've done things out of my views simply because despite the views of those that are my influences, they managed to make something entertaining. Rogers Waters recently took a lot of shit due to his opinion of the Russian-Ukraine war and while I disagree with him like most people. I do not take that out on his music. While a lot of his work solo and in Pink Floyd has some poltiical subtext to it, it doesn't mean I agree with it, it just means I like the song.

Let me know what you think of all this.

It's Halloween night and a man is locked up at his own home. He's worried that vampires may be on the prowl. A friend of his shows up on Halloween and the man squirts her with a water gun full of holy water. She screams. He says "Ha!! I knew you were a vampire!!" he said. She says in return "No I'm not." The man confused then asked "Then why did you scream when I sprayed you with holy water?" To which she yells:

"BECAUSE YOU SHOT ME IN THE EYE YOU FUCKING DICK!!!"

First of all Woohoo!! I made it to 300 songs on this site.

iu_778028_8383057.gif

Now on top of this being my 300th song, I decided to dedicate this particular article to a little insight to CIEIR Music.

First things first, my experience.

In terms of instruments I am somewhat good at the piano, good with guitar both acoustic and electric and have tried a Sax, Xylophone, drums and Trombone as my instruments in music class.

My main talent is being able to play by ear, to repeat and play some songs I've heard over a million times. While I can read sheet music, I am not good at handwriting it, as I cannot equate the notes to the sounds.

Luckily for me, I had a sheet music program that helped me with that. Initially I was gonna use it to just write by ear and play the finished result later. However when I discovered that Musescore had a midi setting, I knew that I could do so much more. I couldn't just play the midi itself out, as it would sound extremely bland. So the midis I've saved, I converted to Wav and Mp3 files depending on where I'd publish my music at. Using FL Studio to give the instruments more realism.

So when I call my persona S.T. Musician, it really lives up to that part of the name. In a nutshell I make music simply by writing it.

Ralph Bakshi a very influential animator once said to a group of up and coming artists, that as long as you have a computer, you have your studio. Now at the time, he was speaking merely of animation, but that principle can apply to anything including music making.

In short though, true artistry, whether it's music, movies, games, tv shows, books and so on, relies on three main parts on your body. Your brain, your heart and your hands.

Now with Halloween only 13 days away, I wonder how I'll top this off.

Many people both old and new often share the common ground of bemoaning either the past, current or future generations. Y'all at one point in your lives at least knew an old man or woman that lamented at what they considered the good old days or knew someone in the current or future generations to come, that claim either their generation sucks or is better than the previous. Claiming that everything they did was original and new. Well after what I've witnessed over the years in various mediums across the net, I got one solid word for any and all generations.

BULLSHIT!!

The generations never changed. They just word things differently. Take the so called never ending battle against sexism over the past 2 centuries. One of the major topics that anti-sexism groups have complained about, both men and women and that technicolor rainbow inbetween, is that too many of their demographic gets objectified with thin re-assurance that the next generation cannot and will not do that again. This one makes me laugh the most and I'll tell you why.

Anyway you slice it, there is nothing you can't say that won't turn into something offensive in the next generation or further. That's the main meat of it. The words may change but the intention is the same.

For example. I'm gonna name a few words people used over time, that often meant the same thing.

Between the 1930s to the 1960s, rather than directly mention a body part the opposite sex is admiring they'd often use slurs or jargon that if heard out loud could not possibly mean anything lewd or creeper like. A man back then would gaze and compliment a woman's Gams, Backside and Balcony. If you went back in time and heard all that you'd be wondering what the fuck is he talking about.

Now let's take you, the man and that woman into a different timeline. The 1960s to the mid 2000s. That same man has no filter and instead of saying the above, he'd go right for the throat and leer and comment on her legs, ass and tits. Naturally someone like yourself whom is in the newest generation would definitely cry "Sexist" for that, but much of why this one is less offensive to me is for two reasons. 1. Much of why people said it, was because they could say it, it's that freedom of expression many people like to test especially with censorship being shattered at the time. 2. Both sexes gave as good as they got. If a guy was complimenting a woman's features, unless that woman wasn't into men, she'd most likely either compliment his features or insult any lack of as they perceive them. That's equality to me, the ability to be on the same level of niceness and vulgarity as everyone else.

Now let's go to the 2010s - 2020s. Words like Thicc sum it all up. That said, here's where the whole article comes to a head. Although people nowadays treat words like Thicc or Protecc, as if they're brand spankin' new, those words were never original. The misspelling aside the words like that written as they were, were originally developed by rap artists between the 90s and the 2000s. The very generation, the bulk of this generation claims to despise and try to correct. You all didn't take a step forwards, you didn't act cute or original. You basically read what others have done and took what you thought would seem trendy at the time. To put it plainer for a progressive generation, rather than moving forwards, you taken a massive step backwards. Using words that sound different but mean the same very shit you claim to fight against. And I'm not talking about just against sexism. All the major woes in the world can be summed up with this following mindset.

"I can't stand how people are treating each other, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it, so I'll just change the way they talk about it. Yay me. So Smart!! So Progressive!!"

Not only applies to sexual slurs, but racial slurs, orientation slurs, you name it, it's the same problem. Rather than actually try to solve the problem, find common ground and be nice to one and other. Generation upon generation instead just sweeps it under the rug saying "Screw it. Not my problem."

Sugarcoating it doesn't help, so why the fuck do you add sprinkles to this particular brand of sugar, when it's still just covering the same shit rather than getting rid of it?

If you're all serious about change, actually fight for fucking change. If I see a new word that takes place of the current trending word "Thicc" I know the world is doomed to failure. But just to save you time I offer a new word in case no one heeds my words. "Fiftee Twenty Fiftee" If you're gonna fuck up the language even further you may as well bastardize the stanard BWH Measurments while you're at it. Who knows you may just run some poor insecure person's life by calling them "Zeeroh Zeeroh Zeeroh" or "Wone Hundredd Wone Hundredd Wone Hundredd". Do these words sound lame to you? Good.

In all honesty, we've never really changed save for the advances in technology. The only thing that really changed was our now forever dwindling vocabulary.

CIEIR NEWS:

Local News. World News. Entertainment News. Jokes

Letter from the Editor:

As I prepare to celebrate the holiday coming up, I've noticed that even when things are at their bleakest, some how things turn out good in the end. For a while I only saw the holidays as merely a break from the harshness and cold reality of life. A temporary reprieve from all the woes. Now, I think of them as how life should always be like. Regardless of whether or not the circumstances that lead to our lives were out of our control, we shouldn't use the holidays as an excuse to take time off said circumstances, but rather use it as an example that said circumstances should literally have no power over you. We feel obligated, whether it's Christmas, Thanksgiving or any other holiday regardless of upbringing, to only be nice to each other and care for each other a few times a year. What a crock of shit. Why should Kindness be regulated to just that when it can literally happen every day, with even the most minimal of efforts being just as good as something grand. I'm not saying you all should drop your responsibilities. Lord knows, that people still need to live life in order to enjoy what it has to offer. I am saying though is that it wouldn't kill you to extend what you feel the holidays are about, beyond the obligated date. I suggest you think on that one for a while.

Local News

ODSP Raise Divides Ontario

As most people in Ontario know, as of the end of last September, the Ontario Disability Support Program or ODSP finally got their annual increase back after 4 years. The rate now %5 per year in order to coincide with the increase of rent and inflation. Some Ontarians see it as a welcome relief in light of all the shit that's happened the past 2 years. Others such as the ODSP Action Coalition see it as not enough. Personally, I believe we should be glad it's here in the first place, but on the other hand doing the math I do see their point. The only thing I can say is hopefully it at least sticks. But I am so glad that Crackhead Ford finally caved on that one.

World News

Putin's Own Generals Threaten To Overthrow Him

In about a few months it'd be one year since Putin invade Ukraine. Despite Annexing 4 regions, talk around the town is that Putin's actually weakening and the soldiers have a chance to drive the Russian Army out. However let's just say not all is well in Putin's homefront. Rumors have circulated that Putin is contemplating Nuking Ukraine in an effort to get the last laugh. However another rumor surfaced, that should Putin ever even remotely THINK of ordering a nuclear strike, the Generals of the Russian Army will foster a coup against him. Oh gee if only someone predicted this would happen, maybe Putin would have gotten out ok......oh wait someone did:

Not so ridiculous now is it? I knew that if anyone was gonna turn against Putin that it would be his own army. I just only assumed the privates would get involved, up until now I had no idea even his own Generals. Guys whom have probably served that Army before, during and what seems to be after Putin's reign, would be sick of him. The world is getting smaller for you isn't it Vlady. Hehehe. Fuck you.

Hollywood News:

For this one I am only focusing on one news story.

The first trailer for the Super Mario Bros. Movie has just been released which can be seen here:

Just kidding it's right here:

Now a lot of people despite having movie more accurate to the games, have some greivances against the movie. Mainly the cast. Up until this trailer some of those greivances were over. No one expected Jack Black to make a great Bowser, until this. However the main gripe is Chris Pratt and Charlie Day not only taking the roles of Mario and Luigi from legendary Mario actor Charles Martinet, but their biggest gripe is that neither Chris nor Day is gonna attempt the trademark high pitched somewhat stereotypical Italian accent. Personally I know where you're coming from. I grew up playing the games too. First I played was the NES Cartidge that came with Duckhunt:

iu_769267_8383057.jpg

However, contrary to popular belief it wasn't racism or cancel culture that made this decision. In fact the Deep voice brooklyn accent Mario is a lot older than you think. The whole thing started out in 1989, when DiC Entertainment wanted to cash in on the popularity and impact Super Mario Bros. brought to the gaming industry and kids everywhere. As a result they made this:

The Super Mario Brother's Super Show. Starring WWF Legend Captain Lou Albino as Mario and former Jefferson's cast member Danny Wells as Luigi. The show was divided between Live Action Segments which involved the daily antics of Mario Bros. Plumbing which had many guest stars including but not limited to DiC's own Inspector Gadget:

But then had animated adventures, based mainly on The U.S. version of Super Mario Bros. 2, also known as Doki-Doki Panic in Japan. Eventually the show also paved it's way for two cartoons based on the later games as well as a Legend of Zelda Cartoon which would replace the show every Friday. You know the one I'm talking about:

This along with the Brothers being from Brooklyn later got incorperated in the infamous 1993 movie starring Bob Hoskins as Mario and John Leguizamo as Luigi. Despite the backlash received from game fans on that one, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto loved the movie for it's creativity and even incorperated some elements of it into his later games. Such as Toad's Turnpike on Mario Kart 64. You look at that and tell me it's not based on the chase scene of the old movie. Anywho, no one hated on them for doing it even long after the show became reruns and Martinet took over. This movie is gonna do just fine succeed or fail.

Jokes

For this segment of Jokes, I'm doing halloween ones. One not mine, but someone has to bring back the classics, but the other two are my creation. Try to guess which one.

  1. A skeleton walks into a bar and asks for a beer.....and a mop.
  2. In our world: Three Kids are coming home from trick or treating. They open their bags and check their candy, finding razor blades, needles and other disasters. They wisely tell their parents. Meanwhile in opposite land: Treat-or-Trickers: Chocolate? Lollipops? Twizzlers? What the fuck is this? Where's the Razor Blades, the Syringe's? WHERE'S THE POISON GODDAMMIT!!! Their parents lock the door in their room so they don't hear them complain more.
  3. Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula and The Wolfman walk down the street they see all these kids and adults dressed as them partying and going for treats. Dracula is confused and says "I read on the news that it's no longer appropriate for people to wear costumes if you're not part of the race of the character you dress up as." Frankenstein's monster chimes in "Yeah, so." To which the Wolfman says "He's got a point, I identify as part Cainine, you're half-dead and German and Drake here is a Romanian Vampire. So many people go up in arms about a redhead dressing up as Mulan, yet don't bat an eye when they are basically wearing our skin over their bodies. Progressive my full moon."

NGL these one's are kinda lame, but I get a good chuckle out of them.

Thanks for reading, if you're feeling generous check out my bandcamp and tip me on Ko-Fi.

As you know, my own songs range from Rock, to Synth, to Orchestral to Chiptune. However that said I have a history of loving many kinds of music. Ever since I was a kid I listened to different songs, of different genres and like many of you, I have my favourites. Now this may come a shock to some, but to others that seen me name some specific composers and other artists, this wouldn't surprise you. But I thought I should share a few of those songs by the Genre that have shaped my life.

For starters. When I was a kid born in the 90s, I got started listening to classic rock from my parents. Apparently the first song I ever sang, which also counted as my first words was Talk Dirty To Me by Poison:

Then I got into Guns and Roses, Aerosmith and Def Leppard:

So ya, I'm kind of a metalhead. Listened to a lot of bands, got introduced to certain movies through these songs. Dokken for example first introduced me to Freddy Krueger:

Of course as I was living in the 90s I've gotten to know modern rock bands at the time like Nirvana:

As well as a few rap groups:

But I also expanded my musical palate to other genres as time went by.

Electronica:

Classical Music:

As well as movie soundtracks:

Much of it was a heavy influence on my own work and to others struggling with songwriter's block I figure it could help give you all some ideas. Use them wisely.

Just wanted to share my music background, let me know if you have favourite songs.
